Our History
We’ve been a part of the community for over 200 years. Seriously!
- 1816 – Built first meeting house
- 1876 – Constructed a new church building to accommodate a growing congregation
- Early 1900s – Purchased additional six acres of land for church usage and cemetery
- 1950s – Expanded community outreach efforts with a sewing circle mission, prayer group and street meetings in Harrisburg
- 1970s – Began assisting with the Southeast Asian refugee crisis. This original ministry has grown into what is now our current Lao Fellowship
- 2006 – Began a major expansion project to accommodate our growing congregation and further our ability to serve the community. The expansion included a new sanctuary, classrooms and a renovated fellowship hall
- 2013 – Launched Hilltop Fun Fest, a free community event held each summer at Slate Hill
